This shapefile shows the location of adopted Thread Trail routes which were decided upon by the individual counties. Thread Trail routes can include natural surface trails, paved greenways, sidewalks, bike lanes, equestrian trails, and mountain bike trails. |

The trail corridors in this plan are depicted with to show the general location of the intended route. However, the final trail can be located within a ¼ mile of this centerline. The trail itself will be narrower, in recognition that communities will determine the exact location of their segments upon trail design and development.The broadly defined greenway corridors present multiple opportunities for adjustments for a defined route, so that landowners can continue to be involved in fine tuning and defining the location of trails and amenities.AS A CONDITION OF USING THIS DATA SET, ANY MAP PRODUCED FOR THE PUBLIC SHOULD DEPICT THE CAROLINA THREAD TRAIL AS A 1/4-SWATH. |
